Sherley R. Valdez Arroyo, M.D. Neurologist
Dr. Sherley Valdez was born and raised in Ponce, Puerto Rico. She attended Ponce School of Medicine for her medical degree. She moved to New Orleans to initiate her training in Neurology at Tulane University, but transferred to the University of Texas at Houston after Hurricane Katrina in 2005. After completing neurology residency in Houston, she moved to Miami for a Neuromuscular Medicine Fellowship at the University of Miami and Jackson Memorial Hospital, completed in 2010.
She is recognized for her training in neuromuscular disorders and ability to perform Nerve Conduction Studies and Electromyography, as well as general neurology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Psychiatry and Neurology and is a member of the American Academy of Neurology, American Medical Association, and the Florida Medical Association. She joined Tampa Neurology Associates in July 2012. She is a staff member at St. Joseph’s Hospital, Memorial Hospital of Tampa, and Tampa General Hospital.
